ParaVolley

South Africa (PSA)

is the national body that promotes and develops all ParaVolley sports within South Africa, including Sitting Volleyball and Beach Standing Volleyball.

We promote and develop our sports through various activities including awareness events, workshops, training camps and certified local and international courses.

ParaVolley SA is responsible for running the SA national club championships and selecting and training high performance athletes to represent South Africa in international competitions.

ParaVolley SA is a registered NPO, an associate member of Volleyball South Africa and a member of the world federation, World ParaVolley.

To motivate the largest grassroot participation of any ParaSport in South Africa.

development

ParaVolley South Africa

supports the development of

Sitting Volleyball through various activities.

These can be tailored to your club/organisation, district or province. Activities includes:

Awareness event: A presentation and video followed by exercises and games to experience the sport. A fun competition can be included.

ParaVolley SA Certified Level 1 Coaching Course - A 2-3 day course for new coaches and teachers to gain introductory skills and knowledge for coaching sitting volleyball. No experience in volleyball required. Follow-up coaching courses provided a pathway for coaching development. All courses are certified.

World ParaVolley certified courses: ParaVolley South Africa co-ordinates with World ParaVolley and ParaVolley Africa to provide courses and international certification in Coaching, Refereeing and Classification for the sport.

Competitions: Support and guidance is provided for the establishment of district or provincial leagues. ParaVolley South Africa runs the SA national club competition every year and encourages SA club qualification into the Southern African Club Championships.
